What;s Better, Coil Spring Mattress Or Memory Foam?

And why? Also it’s better or necessary to use pillow top?

I personally have a pillow top mattress and it works great for me but the tempur pedic mattresses are SO comfortable to lay on them. Also my brother called for a free sample of tempur pedic and it is so cool and squishy!

My dad swears by Memory Foam.

Tempurpedic is the best mattress on the market in my opinion. I have purchased a couple of mattresses in my adult life including one very expensive pillow top and the Tempurpedic is the best. If it is within your budget I highly recommend one. It will last years longer than a traditional mattress also.

The best response to this is that it is clearly a PERSONAL PREFERENCE. You can talk to all of the different manufactures and each one has a different opinion on it. From a medical standpoint, the firmer the mattress the straighter the spine, which means that you have less stress on it when sleeping, as oppose to one that allows your spine to bend and then pull on muscles. This again is just a personal preference. I myself use a good firm mattress and then I have purchased a good memory foam to place on top of my mattress and it is great.

I have a memory foam mattress and love it. It is very soft with not lumps. Also, one side doen’t get a dent from constant use. The coil springs mattress move too much for me. You can use a pillow top on top of a coil spring, but I wouldn’t reccommend it on top of the memory foam.

  • memory foam is my religion.
    I practice it daily.
