Hi, Memory foam will cause less pressure point aches as that is why it was developed to relieve the pressure points of G -forces for astronauts during lift off. It was also used by hospitals to heal and prevent bedsores in patients before it was released to the general public. My elderly mother was suffering from pressure points with a brand new spring bed so I got her a memory foam topper and it relieved her pain. http://www.bestratedmattresses.com/Tempu… Some people swear buy them and others do not like memory foam. They give a 90 day in home trial to see if you like them which is important when you are spending that much as who can really tell by just lying on a mattress in a store. The only complaints I’ve heard about memory foam is a small percentage of people get too hot and some people miss the spring action during ###.They also have a strong smell at first but that goes away after a while but for people sensitive to smells this can be a problem. http://www.bestratedmattresses.com/Tempu… Hope this helps.
The Reg. mattress will pocket where you lay and wear out quicker. These mattresses now are a no flip so they are not as easy to fix the bumps.
Memory is better and alittle more up front but you will get longer use. I think I will get one next time. Good Spring mattress cost about $1000.
why not spend $1200. and have a better night sleep.
Good luck
Memory foam mattress are said to give better support to the body because the foam material are able adapt to the profile of the body shape and thus have more supporting surfaces as compared to spring types of mattresses.
I was told (by the salesman, nonetheless!) that the memory foam mattresses are much hotter to sleep on than standard mattresses. Depending on where you live, this could be good or bad, but here in Texas it’s a not-so-desirable characteristic.
